Uzopedia editors Adekunle Gold has emerged the winner of the Beat Of Lagos 2015. The singer scooped the award for his song ‘Sade’ which was voted by residents of Lagos as the song which has the most impact on their playlists so far in the calendar year.

Adekunle got the award at the annual concert, which held on Sunday August 30, at the Federal Palace Hotel, Lagos.

The singer came onstage to a rapturous reception by fans, and received the honor. Another interesting reward which comes with the gong, is a plot of land in Lekki Free Trade Xone, Lagos.

Last year the “Beat of Lagos Award” was introduced, an award that saw Lagosians voting on the beatoflagos.com website for the song that kept them dancing the most all year round. The hit single from the Mavin’s Crew, “Dorobucci,” went home with the prestigious award. Adekunle, the winner of this year's award went home with a plot of land courtesy of Adron homes.
